Bandit was born on June 7, 2004, and was bred by
Alisha Stark of the Double S Ranch in Angleton, Texas. He was 12.2
hands high as of March 2008 and shouldn't grow
much more than an inch or so before he's through
growing. Bandit has been DNA tested Homozygous
for the tobiano gene and as such will definitely
pass on not only his gorgeous conformation and
class to his foals, but also his striking tobiano
pattern. He is also homozygous for chestnut and
has no agouti gene. His very colorful first two
foal crops can be seen on our 2007
and 2008
Foal pages so you
can see the quality he produces for yourself.
We're very proud of them all!

Bandit is a
smart young stallion who learns very quickly and
will be a terrific performance pony and show
horse in the future. At his very first show in
Seguin on March 8, 2008, Bandit took several
ribbons after only 30 days with our wonderful
trainer, Diane Teague of Cedar Creek Ranch in Montgomery, Texas. The classes
were double judged, and Bandit took 1st and 2nd
in Color, 3rd and 4th in All Breed Halter, and
1st and 2nd Under Cart. We think that's a
fantastic start for such a young stallion who had
never set foot in a show arena before that day!

Bandit is a
very athletic, active young stallion that loves
to run and play and show off for the mares, but
he's also got a wonderful sweet temperament that
keeps him from being too much of a handful. He
walks right up to the fences to greet people,
whether they're visitors or just the kids wanting
to pet him, and he's learning more every time he
gets a lesson in the round pen. We saddled him a
few times last year, and we just got him
professionally trained to drive, but we intend to
also get him seriously started on riding in the
very near future. If you know of a central Texas
trainer who can work with pony stallions in the
twelve hand range, please drop us a line. We haven't been able to find a
trainer who would take him unless he's gelded,
and the kids really want to start riding him!

Bandit has
sired two beautiful foal crops in 2007 and 2008,
both live cover and AI, and he's never had any
problems with settling a mare. We've always
thought he would be the perfect height to cross
to both larger and smaller mares to produce
medium-sized tobiano perfomance ponies, and his
foals are proving it. They all have tons of
athletic ability to go with the bright tobiano
patterns and Bandit's beautiful floating trot!
Bandit
is being offered for sale due to my recent
divorce. I would much rather keep this sweet,
gorgeous stallion; we're all very attached to him
and we'll miss him very much. Our loss is your
gain. You won't find a nicer pinto pony stallion
in the 12.2 range!
