We were hoping for palomino
or buckskin when we bred Kissie to Bandit in
2006, and Kissie came through with flying colors,
producing a buckskin tobiano colt. Her new owner,
Sarah, is thrilled with her colt and has named
him Sir Kirby Kicks Alot. She has already made a
good start on turning him into a fantastic kid
pony by handling him right from the start, and
Kirby seems to be enjoying the attention as much
as she enjoys playing with him.
With his gorgeous markings
and sweet temperament, Kirby should be a
wonderful pony for Sarah to raise and maybe even
show one of these days. He certainly has the
looks and the ability for it, if Sarah decides
she'd like to try! This little guy is still
unfolding, but he's already showing signs he'll
be an elegant mover with all of the flash and
class we enjoy so much in Bandit. Give him a few
months to fill out and shed off, and this little
guy ought to be stunning!

Of course, Kirby didn't get
all of his good traits from Bandit... His mother
is a beautiful pony herself with a wonderful
sweet temperament that is a joy to be around. She
may not have a pedigree a mile long, but she's
obviously from very nice stock!

We couldn't be more pleased
with this colt! He's everything we expected and
more, and we're very glad he's got such a
wonderful home with a little girl who will
treasure him.
Update:
The webmaster's got a terrible memory and forgot
to add new pics of Kirby and Kissie the last
several times the website was updated, but the
pics are finally up!
Kissie and Kirby:

And a few photos of Kirby
with his owner, Sarah, in February of 2008. She's
doing a wonderful job with him!

Kirby took a first place
ribbon in Pony Halter at a show in early April
while Sarah & Kissie took second in that same
class!

Sarah also took three
second place ribbons with Kissie running barrels.
Kissie is going to make Sarah a good speed event
pony, and someday Kirby should easily follow in
her footsteps there as well!
